ULEB Fibre

Ultra-low Loss Enhanced Backreflecting (ULEB) Fibre is an optical fibre engineered to deliver enhanced spatial resolution for high-resolution distributed acoustic sensing (HR-DAS) and improved vibration sensitivity in conventional DAS systems. Its broadband performance, achieved through proprietary optical processing, enables the integration of localised reflectors into standard optical fibres. The resulting flat spectral response across a wide wavelength range minimises thermal sensitivity and ensures compatibility with various interrogation techniques. With reflected signal levels reaching up to –50 dB relative to the probe pulse peak power, ULEB Fibre significantly extends monitoring range, eliminates blind spots, and enhances signal quality—making it a highly effective solution for a broad range of acoustic sensing applications.
